This form allows for the status maintenance of Cash Bags.
Each Route must have a set of cash bags created in the system to track cash Collects from vending machines and bill changers. These cash bags represent the physical cash bags that the drivers will place coins and bills into when they "Collect" from machines. Cash Bags are creates in the Route maintenance form. Each Route should have one physical bag labeled and numbered for the range of cash bags that have been created.
When using handhelds to service the Routes, the Route driver must scan or enter the cash bag number that they are placing the cash into for each machine as it is serviced. This Cash bag is now "allocated" to its machine service "Collect". It will remain allocated until the cash is counted and entered into the system in the Enter Service Cards form or the Enter Cash form. At this point the Bag is then released and made available again for allocation to a subsequent machine collect.
Therefore, with the set of Cash Bags for a Route, the bags are either Allocated (waiting to e counted) or Released (available for allocation to a machine Collect). An allocated Cash Bag cannot be allocated to more than one Collect.
The Cash Bag form will display the full set of cash bags that have been created for each Route. If a Cash Bag is Allocated, the Service ID of the Collect is displayed and the Date Assigned when it was allocated. All Cash Bags with no Service ID displayed are available for use.
If for any reason a bag has been allocated in error or the cash has been counted outside the system, the Bag can be released manually by clicking on the Cash Bag line in the grid, which will highlight the Release button, and the Release dialog allows for the confirmation of the release.
